This page describes how content on TLDR Insurance is produced.
Who writes
Pages are written by the TLDR Insurance editorial team. We do not name individuals on the site.
How pages are made
Drafting is AI-assisted. Every draft is checked against its sources before publication. A page may state a fact only if that fact is in our dataset with a quote from a Texas government source. Numbers come from the dataset and are not typed into the text. The methodology page explains the checks in detail.
What we do not do
- We do not recommend an insurer or a policy.
- We do not state prices or compare insurers.
- We do not tell readers what they should do in their own situation.
- We do not present ourselves as an agent, a broker or an expert adviser.
We describe what a rule says, name the agency that wrote it, and link to the source.
Advertising and independence
Advertisers have no say over what we publish. They cannot review, edit, approve or remove a page. We may be paid when a reader contacts an advertiser. The advertising disclosure page explains how.
Dates and updates
Each page shows the date it was last updated. We change that date when the content of the page changes, not for small fixes to spelling or layout. Each source on a page shows the month we last verified it.
When a source changes, we re-check the fact, fix the dataset and update the page. Material corrections are noted on the page. See the corrections page for how to report an error.
Limits
This site gives general information. It is not legal advice or insurance advice, and it cannot replace the official source.
