We want every page to match its official source. If you find an error, please tell us.

How to report an error

Write to hello@tldrinsurance.com. Please include:

  • The address of the page.
  • The sentence or figure you think is wrong.
  • A link to the official source, if you have one.

We cannot answer questions about your own situation, but we do read every report about the accuracy of a page.

What we do

When we receive a report, we take these steps.

  • We re-check the fact against the current Texas government source.
  • If the fact is wrong or out of date, we fix the dataset. Because numbers on pages come from the dataset, the fix reaches every page that uses the fact.
  • We update the date shown on the affected pages.
  • If the report is not correct and the page matches the source, we leave the page as it is.

Our automated check also re-fetches every source and confirms the stored quote is still there. When it fails, we review the fact in the same way. The methodology page explains this check.

Material corrections

A material correction is one that changes what a reader would understand or do, such as a changed figure, a wrong agency or a missing step. We note material corrections on the affected page. The note says what changed.

Small fixes, such as spelling or layout, are made without a note.

Official source controls

If our page and the official source ever differ, the official source controls. Please rely on it, and tell us about the difference.
